8/23/16 -- BroadwayWorld.coms officially announces that David won the Metro Star Talent Challenge Competition.

8/22/16 -- David wins the Metropolitan Rooms 2016 MetroStar Talent Challenge! He wins an engagement of his own cabaret show, financed by the Metropolitan Room. He will receive a 6-camera live video recording and live CD recording of his show as well!

2/13/16 -- David made his Broadway debut as a Guitarrista in the Con Los Años/Here We Arenumber in On Your Feet! He was asked to cover two of the Guitarristas just in case other swings were unable to go on. A day after learning the choreography he was asked to go on for this role in addition to his other roles!

11/5/15 -- On Your Feet opened on Broadway!

10/5/15 -- On Your Feet opened for previews!

6/17/15 -- On Your Feet opened in Chicago for regular performances today.

6/2/15 -- On Your Feet opened for previews at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago.

5/17/15 --David leaves for Chicago to begin rehearsals for the Chicago run of On Your Feet!

12/5/15 -- David was hand-picked by one of his Pop/R&B singing idols, Lisa Stansfield, as the winner of the PureSolo #SingToWin Competition! Lisa said:Congratulations to David who really impressed me with his rendition of my song All Woman’”. As his prize, David will receive an autographed copy of Lisas brand new 13 CD and 5 DVD Box Set - The Collection 1989-2003! David has been one of Lisas biggest fans since 1990. He was in the audience at both of her appearances on the Arsenio Hall show as well as at her first two American concert tours. When he first met her at a Tower Records in-store appearance in Hollywood, it was filmed as well as an interview with him as her biggest fan. This footage appeared in her home video release, Real Life. Suffice to say he is thrilled to have been singled out for his singing by one of his idols!

12/4/14 -- Huge news! Today, David was offered his first Broadway show, On Your Feet, which will open for previews at the Marquis Theatre in NYC in October of 2015! He will also be in Chicago at the Oriental Theatre from June 2-July 5, 2015 for the shows out of town try-outs.

7/13 -- David has been cast as Piragua Guy at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, Illinois. The production will play from September 11-October 6, 2013 and will be directed by Rachel Rockwell. Click here for details and dates!

2/11/13 -- David and his fellow tour cast mates were invited to join the Broadway original cast of In The Heights for the Finale in the one-night-only In The Heights Reunion Concert . It was the first time that the show was performed in the neighborhood that inspired it, Washington Heights. Check out the photos on the photos page!

1/17/11-- David was voted Best Featured Actor in A Musical (Touring) in the 2010 BroadwayWorld Seattle Theater Awards for his portrayal of Piragua Guy in the First National Tour of In The Heights. Click Here!

2009-2011-- In The Heights First National U.S. Tour

The first national tour of In the Heights began on October 27, 2009 in Tampa, Florida. The musical played in Tokyo in August-September of 2010. It also played in San Juan, Puerto Rico in November 2010, the first time an Equity tour has played in the city. Puerto Rico is the "ancestral home of its librettist Quiara Alegría Hudes and its star and Tony-winning songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda." Miranda played this engagement as well as in Los Angeles. The national tour closed on April 3, 2011 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida.

11/20/2010 -- David was thrilled to be featured and profiled in the most widely read newspaper in Puerto Rico, El Nuevo Día during the tour visit to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

7/23/2010 -- A high school friend informed David that she saw his photo and an interview with him in her local newspaper in Orange County, California (also where he went to college). See and read it here: The Daily Pilot

7/12/10 -- David made an unexpected LA/Hollywood cabaret debut as Meatloaf in Broadway star Natalie Toros cabaret show, God Bless The Broken Road. His duet with the Diva Toro at Hollywoods Magic Castle Inner Circle was deemed "super hilarious" by, Los Angeles. BroadwayWorld-LA.

The In The Heights tour cast has made a video, Run This Tour, to promote the tour! Its a parody of the Jay Z/Rihanna song Run This Town and features Lin-Manuel Miranda, Karen Olivo and Robin DeJesus, all from the Broadway original cast! Perez Hilton featured the video on his website!
